Another successful Northeastern Capstone project in the books!
Over the past 4 months, we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with Qurat-ul-Ain Azim and her dedicated group of students at North Eastern University on their Ethics Project capstone—and their hard work was clearly on display at the student showcase.
A big thank you to everyone involved for the outstanding work and dedication you brought to this project. It was inspiring to see your thoughtful exploration of layered safeguards in AI, including reward model scoring for response safety, verification against established medical literature, clinical AI models to assess medical appropriateness, and additional testing for high-risk outputs.
By building in meaningful checks and balances before guidance reaches patients or providers, your work is helping ensure ECHNA aligns with medical best practices, patient safety, and AI ethics. A fantastic achievement by the entire team.
And thank you to Steve Eccles and Dominik Beckers for their partnership with VHT. We look forward to more projects in the near future
