VHT at Vancouver AI Community Meetup #10

On Wednesday evening, October 30, 2024, the Vancouver AI Community gathered at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre for Meetup #10. The evening ran from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, with talks, demos, live podcasting and music.

Our founder & CTO, Dean Shev, was on the line-up with a talk on AI's medical revolution, looking at how AI can widen access to healthcare, especially where the system falls short.

The talk also shared an early mental-health chatbot prototype, exploring how conversational AI could offer support in underserved communities.

The Vancouver AI meetups bring together builders, artists, researchers and curious newcomers. That mix makes them a good place to share early work and hear honest reactions. We left with new connections and plenty of feedback to take back into our work.
