VHT to Speak at the Futureproof Festival of AI 2026

We're excited to share that our founder & CTO, Dean Shev, will speak at the Futureproof Festival of AI 2026. The festival runs October 28 to 30 at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver and is presented by the BC + AI Ecosystem Association.

The talk, "Where care happens," is on Thursday, October 29, from 2:05 to 2:25 PM. It asks what it takes for health AI to earn a real patient's trust, and looks at consent, privacy law and what happens when the work touches somebody's actual medical record.

Building health AI that answers to real patients, and to privacy rules on both sides of the border, is the daily work at VHT. We're looking forward to sharing what we've learned.

The talk is followed by a joint Q&A with a fellow speaker from the drug discovery world: "the lab and the clinic, back to back."
