A calorie and macro tracker that knows the rest of your health
Most calorie counters only see your food. In VHT, your meals sit next to your activity, sleep, weight, lab results and conditions, so ECHNA can tell you what your eating pattern means for you, not for an average person.
- Calories plus protein, carbs, fat, sugar and fiber for every meal
- Quick picks, favorites and one-tap meal combos for the foods you eat often
- ECHNA reads your food log alongside your activity and health record

Log a meal in a few taps
Choose breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack, then pick a common food from the quick-pick list or type your own meal with its calories and macros. Optional fields cover mono- and polyunsaturated fat and micronutrients such as vitamin C, zinc and selenium when you want more detail.
Favorites and combos for the meals you repeat
Save any meal as a favorite and log it again with one tap. If you eat the same breakfast most days, log your whole favorite breakfast as a single combo.
Food and activity in the same place
Calories burned come in from Apple Health and your logged workouts, so your intake and your activity sit side by side. Drinks have their own log for water, caffeine, sugar and alcohol.
History you can actually read
Every log has a calendar view with a monthly chart and average, and you can tap any day to see what you logged. ECHNA can look back over your recent meals when you ask about them.
Advice that fits your health record
Ask ECHNA “Am I eating enough protein?” or “How do my meals affect my blood sugar?” She answers from your own food log, goals and conditions, such as type 2 diabetes or high cholesterol, and suggests small, practical changes.
How to log your first meal
- Open the ECHNA screen in VHT and tap Meal in the Quick Log bar.
- Choose the meal type, then pick a quick-pick food or enter your own.
- Add calories and macros, or start from a preset of 200, 400 or 600 calories.
- Save it, or save it as a favorite to log it again with one tap.
Good to know
- Meals are entered by you. VHT does not scan barcodes or recognize food from photos today.
- Calorie and macro numbers are only as accurate as what you enter.
- ECHNA gives general nutrition guidance. For a medical diet, such as for kidney disease or an eating disorder, work with a clinician or registered dietitian.
Calorie tracking: common questions
Is VHT a free calorie counter?
Meal logging is part of every VHT plan, including the free Basic plan. The beta members we invite have Premium during the beta.
Does it track macros as well as calories?
Yes. Each meal can record protein, carbs, fat, sugar and fiber, and optionally mono- and polyunsaturated fat and a set of vitamins and minerals.
Can I take a photo of my food?
Not today. You log meals by picking a common food, using a favorite, or typing your own values.
Does it count calories burned?
Yes. Active energy from Apple Health and the calories from workouts you log show up in your activity data, next to what you ate.
Can the AI tell me what to eat?
ECHNA can explain your eating pattern and suggest practical changes that fit your goals and health record. She does not prescribe a medical diet. For that, talk to your clinician or a registered dietitian.
